PowerShield Signs MOU with Sri Lanka’s Assidua Technologies

PowerShield and Assidua Technologies last week, 26 February 2016, signed a Memorandum of Understanding enabling Assidua to distribute PowerShield’s specialist battery monitoring systems throughout Sri Lanka.
The signing took place in the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and was witnessed by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and Sri Lankan Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Harin Fernando.
Assidua specialises in the provision of IT hardware for uninterrupted power supply services.
PowerShield is a specialist battery monitoring company that was established in 1996 in Auckland, New Zealand. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced battery monitoring systems for organisations with critical services that rely on continuous power. Applications include monitoring batteries used for emergency backup or direct supply in data centres and in the telecommunications, utility and other sectors.
PowerShield Chief Executive Len Thomas said “we’re delighted to reach this agreement with Assidua and excited at the prospect of further extending the availability and use of our systems to customers in Sri Lanka.”
PowerShield systems are now used in over 30 countries and the company works with all the leading global power conditioning and emergency backup power companies.
